We are delighted to present ‘Cherries in the Snow’, the last group exhibition at Grzegorzki Shows on Prinzenallee. The title of the exhibition comes from the iconic Revlon lipstick colour, which has been around since the 1950s. It is an intense, rich red with a hint of pink that became famous for its eye-catching, vibrant colour and, alongside Coca-Cola and the Barbie doll, is considered one of the world's most successful products of the 1950s. The exhibition is made up of works by various artists whose work is characterised above all by the use of unconventional materials from the beauty and cosmetics sector. The artist Isabella Fürnkäs, who is known for her work with a wide range of media, shows a kind of crescent-shaped mirror cabinet filled with various perfumes. Looking into the mirror, the luxury fragrances in the foreground appear veiled and self-dramatising - an anonymising game of hide-and-seek with surfaces. [...]
